BEAUTIFUL! CLASSY! but the Digital Thermometer Doesn't Work

I am overall thrilled with this cup because it holds 16oz or so of liquid with no leaks or dribbles when the lid is screwed on. It is tall and slim and very elegant, so If I am going to a social gathering it is kind of my go-to double wall insulated choice. I have not put coffee in it yet because I do not want to stain it. But it does seem to keep clear hot drinks and clear cold drinks their respective temperatures for a long time, which is really nice.

I only have two complaints about it-

1. You have to screw the lid all the way off to drink out of it, so it is not suitable for a hot beverage in a car driving over bumpy roads or really in any normal driving situation unless you want hot water to spill onto you. The mouth of the thermos is as wide as the mouth of a glass, so it is mostly appropriate for drinking in a calm environment, preferably while sitting down,

2. the digital thermometer display never worked (I peeled off the plastic covering it so probably can't return it for another). Everything seems intact, it just doesn't work. It is not a dealbreaker however, as I can test the water with a finger before drinking it, like I have always had to do.

I assumed maybe the battery needed replaced, but as far as I can tell there is no way to do that. So don't get too excited about that particular feature.

I don’t know what to say about this bottle as I have not use it, I am keeping it for my travels at the end of February. I must say I am not sure how to use it, . It has a metal filter at the opening, don’t know how to use this.
